User Requirements vs. Technical Possibilities
A first group of MultiDrone members is meeting today in Paris, at Thales premises ahead of the 2nd Consortium Meeting. The aim of the meeting is to discuss user requirements and technical possibilities. Deutsche Welle and RAI, the project’s user partners, prepared a first set of user requirements based on workshops they had with their editorial teams.
The discussion is on different aspects such as drone flight-time and payload, camera equipment and tracking/flight control technology. All requirements have to be balanced vs. technical possibilities. A particularly difficult balance is between the amount of equipment necessary versus the weight of the drone, as this influences the flight capabilities of the drone.
The outcome of the meeting will be a set of validated and balanced requirements. These requirements will be discussed in the consortium meeting on Thursday and Friday and form the basis for the actual development work of the project.
