Berlin – 2nd Consortium Meeting

The consortium discussing different aspects on the project’s progress
On June 15/16 the MultiDrone Project members met again, this time in Berlin at the Deutsche Welle Office for the second full consortium meeting. The meeting was dominated by discussions around the user requirements that had been obtained during the first few months of the project. Main topics were the possible transformation of those requirements into technical specifications of the drones and the necessary network structure. In parallel to the main session there was also a technical break-out session. The MultiDrone tech-experts talked in more detail about the drone set-up and controls, before presenting their results to the whole consortium.

Deutsche Welle showcasing its test-flight material, shot with a dji mavic pro set
Deutsche Well used the opportunity of hosting the meeting to present some impressions from its first drone test flights done for MultiDrone. The team had shot several sequences at the International Garden Fare (IGA) in Berlin in order to learn more about new cinematographic possibilities with drones in media production. The material was already used by Deutsche Welle’s Culture Program and aired on its Euromaxx Show (see below at 5:58).
