Thessaloniki – 3rd Consortium Meeting
The third MultiDrone Consortium Meeting took place from 21.-22.09.2017 in Thessaloniki, Greece, at Aristotle University. The meeting was used to discuss technical details on various issues the partners are currently working on as well as general project management.
Based on requirements defined in previous meetings, Alerion introduced a “middle solution with low-end Lidar” drone specification as the best setup for the project. The consortium then discussed the best process of purchasing, assembling and insuring the drones.
Another discussion was focused on the ground station and the technology involved. Partners are going to investigate possibilities for a good GPS system, the Ground Computer as well as the necessary software and make a proposal for the best solution in the coming weeks.
Once both system are in place, partners will start configuration and test runs, to ensure that the systems are working properly and can be put to use for the MultiDrone scenarios.
